Search in 5th day
Friday 9:00 am. The search for the missing campers, Caleb Forbes and Shannon Lowden, has resumed. The Police, SES and other local volunteers with suitable experience and knowledge will revisit areas between Rawson and the Thomson Dam looking for signs that a vehicle may have left the road. Police are hopeful that the pair will have remained with their vehicle and thus had some shelter during the cold nights.
Weather conditions are expected to be good for most of the day.
The area being searched is laced with very steep and often poorly maintained tracks. Many descend down to and cross rivers which can be unexpectedly deep and difficult to exit.
