Motorcyclist injured
A Lucky escape for a motorcyclist on his way home this afternoon after he came off his bike between Walhalla and Coopers Creek on a blind bend near Thomson River. Despite a suspected broken ankle, he managed to drag himself off the road to avoid being struck by any on-coming traffic He was treated at the scene by Paramedics and taken to hospital.
The rider was a local and regular visitor to Walhalla. Because it was a nice day for a ride, he had decided to take the Harley up to Walhalla to enjoy the scenery and get a coffee. Goes to show that you cannot afford to get complacent on the Walhalla Road!!
