Local Scouts Catering For Toy Run
Erica and Rawson’s 1st Mountain Rivers Scot Group, with some great assistance from the Erica Caravan Park’s
Bec and Trev, will be providing refreshments for participants in the 2021 Gippsland Motorcyclists Toy Run on 4 December. The group posted the following on facebook –

Erica Scouts are our Toy Run caterers.
Today Stella and I drove up to Erica to meet Maryanne Schmidt and Stacey Cook from the Erica Scouts and Trev and Bec Closter, the proprietors of the Erica Caravan Park and we were truly impressed by their enthusiasm towards our arrival there on the 4th December.
The Erica Scouts will be setting up their BBQ facility near Trev’s beer garden and will be providing their gourmet hamburgers and a sausage sizzle to feed us all when we get there. They are well experienced in this regard and I’m sure they will leave you all satisfied.
The scouts haven’t had much of a go at fund raising over the last couple of years and this project will mean they will generate some badly needed funds in order to send their members to the next Jamboree in February.
Trevor has a liquor licence for the venue and will be able provide a range of refreshments to you while you are there. I can’t wait to be standing in line for my burger while sucking on a Bundy listening to Pedro and the 350’s Blues Band knowing that another Toy Run will be putting Christmas cheer into the lives of so many.
Of course Judy over at the pub is also looking forward to welcoming you into her establishment, but you had better book in advance to make sure you don’t miss out. Not to forget Harsh up at the General store who will be pleased to sell you a pie and other tasty items as well. It’s a shame that the Cafe 1914 has recently closed down as that is always a great destination and we wish Jodie all the best in her future endeavors.
Geoff and Tasha Heyblom’s coffee van will also be on site to provide a cuppa for those in need of a caffein fix after the ride.
