Although it was originally hoped the pathway between the two townships would be operable by the end of 2021, work has yet to commence. A number of issues, including COVID related shortages and design changes have caused delays, but it is understood the project will commence early in 2022.

Baw Baw Council is aware of the deterioration of this popular Rawson attraction and has the issue under consideration. The outcome of the review will be advised when financial and other aspects have been finalised.
