COVID TRACES FOUND IN MOE/NEWBOROUGH
ABC Gippsland have reported that COVID-19 wastewater fragments have been detected in the Moe/Newborough areas.
The Gippsland Region Public Health Unit is asking those experiencing any symptoms, no matter how mild, to get tested. A spokesperson for the unit says primary close contacts that have had a test and received a negative result, should get re-tested if symptoms subsequently appear.
There are no known cases of COVID-19 in the Latrobe City local government area, but the public health unit is urging the community to remain vigilant.
