After only nine months in the job, Baw Baw Shire’s Planning and Development Director James Reid has resigned.
Mr Reid, who took up the position in December last year, is taking on “a dream role” with the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust.
Announcing his resignation, Council said Mr Reid was pursuing a “once-in-a-lifetime” role with the Cemeteries Trust, where he will have the opportunity to oversee planning of a significant legacy infrastructure project. Mr Reid will oversee the planning of a new 130 hectare Memorial Park.
