Because of COVID19 restrictions, construction of the project has been postponed until the contractors are able to bring workers to the site.

The Dandenong Motor Cycle Club (DMCC) will conduct the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) in the Erica Forest District during May 2020. Tools valued at about $3000, including a chainsaw and generator, were stolen when the Walhalla Goldfields Railway workshop at Thomson Station was broken in to. The effected volunteers have asked that any offers to sell used tools be reported to Police.
