Railway Tools Stolen
Tools valued at about $3000, including a chainsaw and generator, were stolen when the Walhalla Goldfields Railway workshop at Thomson Station was broken in to. The effected volunteers have asked that any offers to sell used tools be reported to Police.
Baw Baw Election Results Declared
The formal declaration for the election of Baw Baw Shire Council has occurred. The newly elected Councilors are: Central Ward: Danny Goss, Jaz Tauru and Joe Gauci West Ward: Ben Lucas, Tricia Jones and Annemarie McCabe East Ward: Michael Leaney, Peter Kostos and Darren Wallace.
Info Night – 2020 A4DE to be in Erica!
The Dandenong Motor Cycle Club (DMCC) will conduct the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) in the Erica Forest District during May 2020. An information night will be held in the Erica Hall from 7:30 pm on Wednesday 27 November and will inform the community about how local groups can participate and fundraise.
Construction of Erica to Rawson link due to start.
Construction of the pathway between Erica and Rawson is due to commence in November. Survey and other preliminary works have already been completed, but the commencement of construction will depend on weather and ground conditions. Completion of the $836 671 project is expected by the end of December.
